there is a lot of background noise and the voice audio is heard very low
Thank you for letting us know Vrikson. I hope the audio is clear now.
(apologies for the background noises everyone)
Could Jim increase the volume of his mike
Could Jim increase the volume of his mike?
Hi Vrikson, we will try to increase the volume.
Glenn McKnight, Naralo
Audio is fine for me
Thank you for letting us know.
Audio is good for me as well. No noise and the volume is good
Should the length of the comment document matter?
hey everyone! sorry to be joining late, was in another meeting.
Welcome, Elsa :)
thanks Maryam! :)
Bruna is having connection issues
I like to say soething
Well, sometimes theres just so much background information that we are not aware about.
Sorry im in a library i cant speak through the mike.
Taiwo Peter Akinremi
Technical background of the issue I think.
Thank you, Liz. I will read out your comment
Maryam, I too have connexion issues, and when connected the audio is extremely low, and I do have all the speakers volume up.
Hi Vrikson, I am sorry to hear that. I will send you a private chat so we can investigate this further
Personally, its diffcult to differentiate between peronal views as compared to the view of the constituency.
or if one is supposed to contribute as representing the constituency or as an individual.
@Bukola I agree with you, just that you want to be sure you are carrying everyone along.
I had a question
How much background info should one dig into before making a draft?
Thank you for your question Liz.
Then how do you solve the problem of technical limitations. Because some of us are from non technical backgrounds. It it possible to solicit views from the tech members?
Is it possible to have a template of comment writiing where you have background, point, summary (with recommendations..number of words, sample phrases, etc)
also is it possible to have a peer review group for comments with intention of building capacity around engaging in comments writing
from the different consituencies document that you have showed, is there a particular template for each constituencies? some were in tabular format and some were not?
Jim is right. We have to start writing what we think, how we think it, and then begin polishing what we write. It is not easy at first, but eventually it gets easier with time, and practice.
Will you also review non icann work? :)
Thank you Jim , that is so helpful to know
Jim, thank you for the offer to do pro bono reviewing things wr write. Does it all have to be ICANN related ? Does it all have to be in English? What's your email?
I'm sorry I have to leave now, hope to catch up with the recordings if it will be shared.
Thanks for attending Bukola
