051040043 - EPDP-Phase 2A Team Call
Terri Agnew
32:56
Please review ICANN Expected Standards of Behavior here: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/expected-standards-2016-06-28-en**Members: reminder, when using chat, please select all panelists and attendees in order for everyone to see chat.
Volker Greimann (RrSG)
33:01
The proposal by Brian seems more like an unproven statement than a proposal
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
34:49
I must admit, I found it difficult to compare the new proposal against the initial one; it maybe would've been easier if there were tracked-changes in the original version proposal
Berry Cobb
35:31
Also note, that Brian Beckham as vice-chair is on the Council's consent agenda for next week. https://community.icann.org/display/gnsocouncilmeetings/Final+Proposed+GNSO+Council+Agenda+18+February+2021
Mark Svancarek (BC)
35:46
Welcome, Steve!
Mark Svancarek (BC)
35:57
:-)
Laureen Kapin (GAC)
36:06
Fair point Sarah -- perhaps just focus on the new proposal for now. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
Laureen Kapin (GAC)
36:14
Welcome Steve!
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
36:24
Thanks Laureen. I definitely look forward to reviewing it
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC)
36:27
Welcome steve
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
37:28
+ 1 Becky
Steve Crocker (SSAC)
40:25
Hadia, Mark, Alan, Laureen: Thanks. Glad to be here.
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
52:39
If it is a registrar who creates the pseudonymized email address then of course they would know which registrant is behind it
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
53:47
Can I please have the link to this version of the definitions sheet? I have an old one, thanks
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
54:23
IP rights - IPC should love this option for obfuscated registrations
Brian King (IPC)
55:29
This is why we push for Org to (finally) finish PPSAI
Berry Cobb

Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
56:59
Thanks Berry
Owen Smigelski (RrSG)
57:03
If web forms are not working, report the contracted party to Compliance.
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
58:42
suggested 100 word message: “gimme your data” ;-)
Margie Milam (BC)
58:56
Its very hard to provide the information to assert your legitimate basis in the forms
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
59:06
so, standardized web form, bigger word limits?
Margie Milam (BC)
59:28
Some don’t allow you to attach the letter of authority or exhibits that show screenshots
Owen Smigelski (RrSG)
59:38
Discussion of removing webform from existing consensus policy appears to be out of scope for Phase 2a to me
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
01:01:37
true attachments raise cybersec issues
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:04:02
Just because it isn't how you want it doesn't mean it's not working
Owen Smigelski (RrSG)
01:04:17
Email address is an option, and webform is an option. This is not the place to discuss removing webforms as an option, simply because the webforms don’t work as you 100% desire. If there’s a problem with compliance with existing policy- file a complaint with ICANN Compliance
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:04:46
We already have a recommendation on this topic, and this discussion about webforms is not in scope for this phase
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
01:10:15
spam using an obfuscated email seems like a serious concern to me, if the email is published
Mark Svancarek (BC)
01:13:17
I agree with AlanW's intervention with 2 caveats: not everyone who requests a pseudonym has an SSAD accreditation, and not everyone with an SSAD accreditation is assured of receiving personal data.
Brian King (IPC)
01:13:57
+1 Mark/Alan. Also not to be too cheeky, but do we have an SSAD? And are we going to have one?
Berry Cobb
01:13:58
getting to it

01:15:06
Bolded portion below the original.
Brian King (IPC)
01:19:02
#showerthoughts after the fact, but to the previous points about web form being in scope in Phase 3, we are still in the same EPDP
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
01:19:34
good idea keith, this bears discussion and study
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:19:37
Not sure what that means; we have specific instructions for this Phase 2a
Berry Cobb
01:20:04
Please use the following link to see the Jamboard, as the shared version in Zoom is less than optimal: https://jamboard.google.com/d/1H3CDUTITCfgcS85WMjlvyLV07cb7_V7ksFz8lVjExPg/viewer?f=0
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:21:26
This is comment-only mode for me and so I do not have left-side buttons such as add a new note
Brian King (IPC)
01:21:37
Can't wait to jam out on this
Laureen Kapin (GAC)
01:21:44
I'm not able to display and I'm getting this message: "Cannot display Jam. Please enable WebGL." Appreciate guidance (though this may be a work computer issue.
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:22:01
The only thing I can do is zoom in and out
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:22:11
Laureen - yours sounds like a computer issue
Brian King (IPC)
01:22:31
Milton, sorry you were deprived today - feel free to add my stickies.
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:22:35
Stephanie - it's a google service, so would be archived as google things are
Mark Svancarek (BC)
01:23:03
Hopefully everyone will use a huge font
Mark Svancarek (BC)
01:23:23
Even at 200% on a giant screen, it's hard to view the sample content
Steve Crocker (SSAC)
01:23:36
Does the color of the sticky mean anything?
Caitlin Tubergen
01:23:57
Thanks Sarah, we’ll look into the settings after the call.
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:24:16
Thanks Caitlin
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:24:30
TBH I personally find it easier to leave comments on text in a google doc, rather than this jamboard
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:24:36
But I'm open to trying it!
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
01:25:43
share some of Laureen’s concerns. I would have no problem with the new tool but others may
Milton Mueller (NCSG)
01:26:06
what was wrong with Google docs?
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:28:40
I don't think we *can* leave comments, I had the same experience
Sarah Wyld (RrSG)
01:28:47
(even with comment-level access)
Laureen Kapin (GAC)
01:29:08
Also, You Tube intro seemed to describe a different product -- a physical electronic whiteboard.
Berry Cobb
01:29:40
All good.
Berry Cobb
01:30:01
We do have a few open AIs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17qLMYb3HC7qGYPQveXbUq5ZSzvedrQ3t8AdVdrRIdrw/edit#gid=0
