I had the same concern about the use of the phrase registrant
Jan Janssen
27:30
makes sense Volker
Thomas Rickert (ISPCP)
27:56
But can that still point to the Admin-C? I thought we had killed that role in phase 1
Thomas Rickert (ISPCP)
29:37
What about: Contact designated by the registered name holder?
Thomas Rickert (ISPCP)
30:00
That can be both natural and legal persons.

Contact as a “mechanism” or as an “entity” —is that what you mean, Volker?
Laureen Kapin
42:56
Agree with Becky that "anonymized" d/n make sense for our purposes (b/c no one can identify underlying individual/entity).

We should delete “at a given registrar” since the discussion of where it takes place would be a policy decision
Caitlin Tubergen
47:03
As a reminder, the phrase “at a given registrar” comes from the temporary specification question.

Volker can you enter your three examples into the goog doc? Or edit/correct what I have there? I think these examples are helpful.

I agree that Volkers examples would be very helpful here. We cannot really be dictating to a large organization with many domains, for instance, who to tag within their organization as a contact for different divisions of domains.

Just a reminder, is MM Margie Milam or Milton Mueller?
Berry Cobb
01:06:21
Margie.
stephanieeperrin
01:06:49
Thanks. Not wishing to contradict my colleague Milton, Margie is usually more forgiving....

01:07:13
:)
Thomas Rickert (ISPCP)
01:11:39
Had, are you suggesting that an inaccurate self-designation would be acceptable to you?
stephanieeperrin
01:11:52
Actually they cannot. IF they are signing a legal document they must identify as their true status.
stephanieeperrin
01:12:17
(Or, what Thomas said….)
stephanieeperrin
01:14:13
The flexibility that we have in there is for the registrar to rely on their attenstation, not for them to lie
vgreimann
01:15:26
And even if the answer is the risk is higher or lower, what does that get us?
vgreimann
01:17:24
Because it is our risk

I need to drop for another call. Thanks to you all for your continued work on these questions.

@ Becky -- Please use the second version of the rewrite.
