You can test your email support for EAI by using this tool: https://uasg.tech/eai-check/

01:54:26
<QUESTION> Email Address Internationalization (EAI) supports a multilingual, diverse and inclusive Internet by ensuring email addresses on Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) or Unicode components function correctly. The UASG FY20 UA Readiness Report indicates that 9.7% of email servers are potentially configured to support email address in local languages and scripts. Is there any list of these 9.7% email service providers/software on UASG website to know who all supports? Also is it possible to experience or test how EAI email address works from UASG website? <QUESTION>

01:56:20
Hi Mark Svancarek, Very good presentation. Thank you so much.

01:56:40
Thanks Mark S

UASG021D

01:57:11
Thanks @Mark great work & update

01:57:49
No i am not talking about ability , i mean can we have a live email address to test from UASG website

01:57:50
EAI Research Paper : https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG012-en-digital.pdf

01:58:49
Do you have their links on UASG website for everyone to know who all support for test

01:59:09
@Amanda, I guess you referring to this document “ Use cases fordevelopers forevaluating systems for Universal Acceptance readiness” : https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG004-en-digital.pdf

01:59:48
<Question>the idea of the document "Statement of Work: EAI Technical education and Awareness to the developers community via Q&A websites". But can it be expanded on IDNs and New gTLDs as well? Why was it made for EAI only? We also suggest to make it in more interactive way, to provide the possibility to developers or any other stakeholders to ask online their own questions and receive answers instead of the static FAQ only as it is described in the document. Are there any such plans? </question>

01:59:55
@Amanda, we are reviewing the test cases ( domain names and EAI emails), hopefully soon we will publish a new test cases for the community

02:00:45
<Question>The idea of the document "Statement of Work: EAI Technical education and Awareness to the developers community via Q&A websites" is really valuable. But can it be expanded on IDNs and New gTLDs as well? Why was it made for EAI only? We also suggest to make it in more interactive way, to provide the possibility to developers or any other stakeholders to ask online their own questions and receive answers instead of the static FAQ only as it is described in the document. 02:01:11
Hi Mohamed , i am referring to providers who can help in providing test email address if there information can be made available on UASG website will be great

02:02:23
@Мария, EAI WG is focused on email since we have good coverage for domain names elsewhere in UASG. To get better impact we are avoiding any overlap with other WGs. But in actual practice, some of the EAI engagement will include IDNs just as a matter of course.

02:02:46
@Amanda, Mark mentioned a couple of providers who can provision internationalized email address: xgenplus and coremail

02:04:28
@Mark, exactly. That's why we ask it. It will be good to make the same work for IDNs as well. Maybe like a separate work.

02:04:49
@Amanda as mentioned by mark you can try and test from www.xgenplus.com or www.icoremail.net for EAI email address

02:06:45
All the UASG UA reports and publications are listed here in this single document: https://uasg.tech/wp-content/uploads/documents/UASG000-en-digital.pdf

02:06:57
@Maria, it might make sense to make a similar work item for other WGs. But in EAI WG we felt it was especially important because there is just so much misinformation about email addresses of ANY type - EAI is just a more complicated version of email addressing.... people are already getting it wrong

02:13:02
@Mark, agree here. That's great idea to do it. Yesterday I also mentioned that for EAI we need to look at security issues as well (analyze M3AAWG and Unicode documents and put in UASG docs the appropriate things from them (like email profiles), and check if they really match the UA concept).

02:13:10
Thank you, Satish!

02:13:54
Thank you, Mark!

02:17:20

02:23:43

02:23:46
<Question> As per UASG initial document period of Working Group Chairs and Vice Chairs was one Year? Which is already over, when the reelection will happen? We trust that this time UA community or Working group members will be free to select their Chairs and Vice Chairs by open voting instead of just leadership decisions? <Question>

02:23:59
i speak in spanish

02:26:13
<Q>Does Community WG plan to provide some educational and marketing materials exactly about UA, EAI, IDNs (articles, video, brochures) to be shared for local stakeholders? </Q>
