to what Edmond refers to the ALAC lists in its mini site and wiki space all of its previously created and current comments to public comments , working documents developing 'opinion' as well as Advice

o thats cool cheryl, but i have always advocated one step further, which is for a particular issue pull up those comments/opinions directly relevant to the issue... cause the total repository is often quite volumnious

o or its already like that for ALAC now?

@Edmon an interesting Next Step or adjunct... we must explore that... also noting that the ALACs newish Consolidated Policy Working Group meets weekly and is open to all to attend ... another peer support into Policy opportunity

Representation and participation are different things

Perhaps we need to work on how comfortable these representatives feel about participating in topic areas that they do not feel adequately informed about.. This is where the capacity building is important.

i recall getting rinalia up to speed on IDN for example... and enabling her to speak on the issue effectively... definitely a good approach which cheryl suggested

i’m just wondering Pam, and to all in the call - can fellow community members help you manage so many calls?

Example - imagine we’re all colleagues, if someone can’t join a meeting we usually find someone else to cover. Can this happen in our context?

problem with "mentoring" is the 1 to few match

well @Pam if more GNSO Councillors we're involved in PDP Meetings 😋 their might know better

As we are not really a verbal community, getting input from community based on documentation might help. e.g. for a certain issue that we need feedback, instead of just ask them to speak, set a few particular clear questions and circulate over email. This way they have more time to process and hopefully overcome some of language barrier , and might also help with time zone.
